A diamond hone is a cheap and easy way to keep your grafting knife or secateurs.

Place diamond hone on the blade, same angle as the existing blade bevel – 20° for most knives & snips. Stroke away from the body. Repeat 4 to 5 times.

Turn blade over. Lay the hone on the flat side and stroke across the blade. This removed the small burr on the blade, and the blade should now be sharp.
