If you’re looking for a super tough plant for your South Aussie garden then you can’t go past Rosemary. With loads of varieties available it’s easy to find the right one for you!

If you’re looking for a super tough plant for any South Australian garden you can’t go past Rosemary, and the best part is there are loads of varieties to choose from so you’ll find the perfect fit for your garden!

Kim takes us through some different Rosemary varieties like the Prostrate and Blue Lagoon Rosemary which are creeping ground cover, low mounting types, and Rosemary Chef’s Choice which is particularly great for cascading down an embankment or down the edge of decorative pots. Kim also shows us Rosemary officinalis which is an old faithful, as well as Tuscan Blue which has a slightly denser form and is great for hedging or as a topiary specimen.

Rosemary is the plant of remembrance and Kim shows us the new variety Gallipoli Rosemary which traces its origins back to the fields of Gallipoli. 50 cents from the sale of each plant goes to the national Avenues of Honour project.

All these Rosemary varieties are available South Australian grown. This means they’re grown for our conditions and the money stays in our state as well as supporting our local industry. If you’re not sure whether the Rosemary (or any plant) you’re looking at is South Australian grown, just ask!
