In the Garden will highlight this state’s ‘green’ achievements and innovations showing South Australia is at the cutting edge of unique and sustainable communities & landscapes. In the Garden unlatches the gates and invites viewers into some of this state’s most inspirational public gardens from large to small and iconic. Along the way we will show off the latest in garden trends, check out new plants and give top tips to keep those gardens blooming. We’ll even take a peek into the backyards of some South Australian identities to see how ‘green’ their thumbs are, or maybe aren’t. This totally local program, hosted by Garden Guru – Kim Syrus, along with a fabulous group of guests, is guaranteed to keep viewers informed and entertained. KIM SYRUS – PRESENTER Kim Syrus is the South Australian face of gardening on the popular television program Channel 9 & GEM’s – ‘The Garden Gurus’ along with a presenter on the travel program ‘Gurus Explore’ and now his very own ‘In The Garden’. He is also a regular contributor on 5AA garden talkback radio and current President of the Horticultural Media Association of SA. Along with being one of Australia’s most respected rose experts, Kim is the Australian Agent for Meilland International, long regarded as one of the most influential of all rose breeders. He also promotes gardening through appearances to garden clubs, SA community events, right through to the International Melbourne Flower and Garden Show – you could say that gardening is in his veins.
