Hanging Baskets give a bare wall a real lift and they are simple to fix. Let us take you through how to do it, with Mitre 10. STEP 1 You just need a suitable bracket, which will take the baskets weight. You can pick up a bracket at your local Mitre 10. STEP 2 Select a spot that isn’t going to cause any traffic problems. STEP 3 Place the bracket against the wall and mark the holes. A spirit level will make sure everything’s straight. STEP 4 Next, grab your drill and select a masonary drill bit the size of the wall plugs. This little guide helps. STEP 5 Drill holes about 5 millimeters deeper than the wall plug. That way the plug won’t stick out. Hammer the plugs in. They should feel quite tight. STEP 6 Position the hanging basket bracket over the plugs and screw the bracket to the wall using galvanized screws which won’t rust. STEP 7 Now just add the hanging basket. Looks great.
